Villa Penchev is situated in the village of Brestnik, Bulgaria - at the foot of the Rhodopi Mountains, not very far from the city of Plovdiv and Bachkovo Monastery.

The region provides excellent conditions for rural toursim, relaxations, mountain sports, skiing and sight-seeing.
The area is also known for its great quality of wine and has its own wine-cellars.

Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria, is situated at a 150 km distance from the capital Sofia.
Its history is as ancient as that of the oldest towns like Rome, Athens, Carthage or Constantinople,
the city of Plovdiv is built upon layers of towns and its culture has developed upon hundreds of
historical events. The houses of the old part of town (known as The Old Town) date back from National Revival period (18-19 century).
The Old Town is an impressive open-air museum situated on the three hills of the ancient Trimontium.
The Old Town of Plovdiv won a golden medal from UNESCO
for its extremely good care about the national heritage and the architecture of the Revival houses.

Rhodopi mountain was the home of the legendary Orpheus and Dionysus and is still a mysterious place. Although relatively low, these mountains possess their own distinctive beauty, and are an ideal place for a multi-day walking or biking and horse riding excursions.
The region is known for its excellent ski resorts, phenomenal places like Trigrad Zhdrelo, Gela, Rozhen, Shiroka Luka, Bachkovo, impressive caves and lakes.
